Ms. Janice Morton

Senior Physiotherapy Consultant

Janice arrived in Hong Kong in1970, having qualified as a physiotherapist in UK in 1967. During her time here, she has worked continuously in the field of physiotherapy, and is now senior partner in Byrne & Hickman. Her special interests are in the treatment of back and neck pain and sports injuries. She has worked for over 20 years, with athletes ranging from !ˇ±weekend warriors!ˇL to high profile professional tennis and rugby players. In addition, she has a special interest in childbirth education and the treatment of pregnancy related back pain.

 

Mr. Spencer Ng

Clinic Manager (Shatin & Tsimshatsui) / Physiotherapist

Spencer graduated from the Cumberland College of Health Science, University of Sydney and possessed of over 20 years of experience in Physiotherapy. His specialty area includes: sports injuries rehabilitation; treatment of back and neck problems; orthopedics and work rehabilitation as well as gait analysis and foot assessments.

Throughout the years, Spencer has been the official physiotherapist for various international and local sporting events such as the Hong Kong Squash Open, Hong Kong Tennis Open, and Rugby 7's. In addition, Spencer has also helped in setting up the sports clinic in the Hong Kong Sports Institute in the early stages, and subsequently running the clinic for two years. Recently, he has devoted special interests in the treatment of golf injuries.

 

Ms. Donna Sutton

Clinic Manager (Repulse Bay) / Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Donna is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist who qualified in 1995. She has postgraduate certifications in Pilates and Swiss ball stability and has a Diploma in Acupuncture through Hong Kong University SPACE. Donna has a keen interest in muscle control, and uses Clinical Pilates as an adjunctive rehabilitation tool with patients and athletes. Throughout the years, Donna has provided physiotherapy services for numerous international sporting events including: rugby, tennis, ice hockey, the Hong Kong Ballet and the Hong Kong Asian Games Team (1998). Currently, she has a regular commitment to a Hong Kong 1st Division rugby team and has been the physiotherapist for the HK Sevens Rugby Team since 2002.

 

Mr. Eddie Chan

Clinic Manager (Dina House, Central) / Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Eddie obtained his physiotherapy qualification from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2000 after a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, Canada. His main area of interest is in the treatment of sports injuries and the use of Pilates-based exercises in rehabilitation. He has worked closely with various national level rugby teams as Team Physiotherapist, most recently with the National XV and Asian Games Squads. He has also been on-site physiotherapist for various international sporting events including tennis, beach volleyball, and squash. He is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor and holds a certificate in Acupuncture.

 

Mr. Malcolm Minns

Clinic Manager (Hutchison House, Central) / Physiotherapist

Malcolm has worked with Byrne, Hickman and Partners for over 5 years. He trained in Bristol, England and worked within National Health Service (UK) Hospitals in Bristol and Bath before returning to Hong Kong. He has a wealth of experience working with international athletes including world-renowned rugby, tennis and squash players. His previous experience also includes working at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Disease (the UKˇ¦s National Centre of Excellence) and he was the official physiotherapist for the Squash World Championships 2005. He now specializes in sports, orthopaedic and work related injuries.
